IBM Wins “Best Linux Server Vendor” Award

For the third year in a row, IBM has been selected by readers of the Linux Journal as the winner of the “Best Linux Server Vendor”  in the Readers’ Choice Awards.  “Server hardware, much like our High-Performance Computing category, specifically targets trustworthy, rock-solid computers,” writes Linux Journal’s Shawn Powers. “IBM takes the top spot in a very competitive category. It's great to see big companies on our list, proof that Linux is serious business.”

In a new blog, Douglas (Doug) Balog, General Manager, Power Systems, provides additional perspective: “Linux is important to many businesses for its ease of access, application and platform compatibility, and ultimately the value, as well as its robust and active community. This recognition demonstrates the value of IBM’s continued commitment to industry-leading collaboration and revolutionary technology, and Linux on Power is a critical component of that commitment.” Read on.
