Execu-Sys, an IT recruiting/consulting firm and authorized U2 reseller, and Entrinsik, a provider of operational reporting and analysis solutions, have formed a partnership through which Execu-Sys will provide its clients with Informer Web Reporting, a web-based reporting solution.
Earlier this month, Entrinsik also announced the general availability of Informer Web Reporting 4.0
According to Doug Leupen, president of Entrinsik the launch of 4.0 is going very well. "I just checked with our support area, and 70 of our customers have upgraded since the general release." There has been a lot of enthusiasm among Entrinsik's customer base as well as prospective customers, Leupen tells DBTA. With a release as different and as significant as Informer 4.0, it is notable to have so many customers upgraded so fast, he adds.
Informer was designed specifically to extend on-demand self-service reporting and analysis capabilities to front-line, operational users. And now with only a few mouse clicks, Informer enables users to quickly connect multiple sources of data with a single point of access to dynamic reports via Informer's easy-to-navigate user interface. Informer presents information in drag-and-drop form to give users choices in how they want to assemble, schedule and deliver reports.
The new release of Informer gives users access to information from multiple systems, platforms, or locations, eliminating data silo constraints without relying on a data warehouse or centralized data mart. Informer's intelligent caching mechanism allows users to sort, filter, group, and analyze report results without bombarding the database server with repetitive requests. New report customization and ad-hoc query capabilities mean end users can query any data source, regardless of where it is stored across relational or MultiValue data, to build their own reports and get fast answers to their own questions.
"We have gotten interest from all across the world, all different kinds of companies," adds Leupen, observing that there is an increasing understanding and appreciation of the importance of getting real live-time data to the operational, tactical people that can impact a company in terms of making quick decisions and making money for the company. "That is exactly where Informer is focused." Informer 4.0 appeals to customers of all sizes, notes Leupen, and, "particularly for medium and smaller size organizations that don't have the luxury of a huge IT staff that can spend a long time putting a data warehouse together, Informer is right on."
According to Leupen, Entrinsik's latest partner, Execu-Sys, became interested in Informer after working on an implementation at a large advertising agency. Execu-Sys recognized the "power and the salability of Informer to their other existing customers and that prompted them to immediately sign up to be one of our VARs."
