Initiate Systems Launches Initiate Catalyst for Independent Software Vendors

Initiate Systems, Inc., a provider of data management solutions for information sharing and improved data quality, has launched the Initiate Catalyst software platform for independent software vendors (ISVs) and solution providers. Available as a virtual software appliance, it provides ISVs and solution providers with entity resolution and search capability that can be embedded in their industry-oriented applications and solutions to accelerate data interoperability.

Leveraging the Initiate Master Data Service, Initiate Catalyst is designed to meet the functional, technical and packaging requirements of ISVs that want to embed or integrate master data management (MDM), customer data integration (CDI), record locator or entity resolution capabilities within their products or solutions. Using Initiate Catalyst enables ISVs to minimize design, development and support costs associated with these critical technologies, allowing them to redirect their research and development dollars as well as technical resources to other areas, according to the vendor.

"Initiate Catalyst is an out-of-the-box MDM product that gives ISVs and solution providers a competitive edge by allowing them to embed our market-leading entity resolution and search technology as part of their own solutions, as well as easily integrate proven and trusted technology for rapid deployment," explains Brian Vile, Initiate's vice president, product strategy.

The Initiate Catalyst virtual software appliance includes a master data engine for entity resolution and search that can be easily embedded into existing solutions; and an easy-to-use console that simplifies and automates integration and ongoing administration. Initiate Catalyst also includes a web services SDK for object-oriented web services tailored for application integration; and smart record on-boarding for pre-defined load capabilities, with process interrogation and problem identification, efficiently assimilating data from multiple sources. The virtual appliance package provides a production-ready package with all third-party licensing provided. For more information and product features, go here.
