Oracle Announces Updates to Accelerate Program for Midsize Businesses

Oracle recently introduced new capabilities for its Accelerate Program, including new Accelerate Solutions, Oracle Business Accelerators, financing options and deployment methods.

Oracle Accelerate is Oracle's program for midsize companies that makes it easier for them to access and deploy Oracle business applications. It was originally launched nearly three years ago, and since then Oracle has added more than 7,000 midsize applications customers.

The program combines Oracle Applications and Business Accelerators, value-added partners, and industry- and geography-specific deployment expertise to solve business problems in highly targeted and rapidly deployable packages. In addition, Oracle Accelerate has launched a new portal, midsize.oracle.com, a resource focused on midsize for customers and partners to search for geographic- and industry-specific solutions, as well as a platform for collaboration.

"The new Accelerate Solutions being offered are for business intelligence, enterprise performance management, and CRM On Demand. Oracle initially focused the Accelerate Program on ERP applications, and is now expanding into other areas. Each solution consists of specific Oracle applications, business accelerators, and industry-specific partner expertise," Mark Johnson, vice president of Oracle Accelerate Applications Marketing and Business Development, tells 5 Minute Briefing.

Oracle Business Accelerators are rapid implementation tools, templates and industry- and geography-specific leading practice process flows provided by Oracle to partners to help dramatically reduce implementation time, complexity, cost and risk.

Other new capabilities in the program include an Oracle Consulting Accelerate Solution for Industrial Manufacturing with HP, extended Business Accelerators tool sets for Oracle's Demantra for advanced demand planning, Agile product lifecycle management solutions, Siebel CRM, and transportation management.
