Academic Award for Excellence Recognizes a New Generation of Talent


The SHARE Academic Award for Excellence offers students the opportunity to submit an academic-related enterprise IT project that adds value to an organization’s overall goals and missions. SHARE acknowledges a younger generation of talent as being pivotal to the future of enterprise computing.

SHARE encourages full-time students and recent graduates from high school, enrolled in undergraduate or graduate university programs focused on Information Systems, Enterprise Computing, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related concentration to submit projects related to:

  • Improving a process or productivity
  • Increasing performance
  • Developing a new tool or application

Sponsored by IBM Corporation and Compuware, the SHARE Academic Award for Excellence will be presented at SHARE in Anaheim, March 9-14, 2014. All registration, travel and housing expenses will be funded by SHARE. The grand prize winner will also receive a $500 gift card to Amazon.com.
Past winners have submitted projects such as:

  • ‘To Save Your Time: SMPE Tool’ (Murat Deniz Askaner)
  • ‘Wiki: A Systems Programming Productivity Tool’ (John Noel and Regina Robbins)
