Dell Boomi's integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) is designed to equip enterprises to improve productivity, accountability and collaboration internally and with customers.

Hitachi Vantara, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., announced its vision for its Smart Data Center, which brings together technologies and approaches in infrastructure management, predictive analytics and internet of things (IoT) capabilities.

IBM announced the first clients to tap into its IBM Q early-access commercial quantum computing systems to explore practical applications important to business and science. They include: JPMorgan Chase, Daimler AG, Samsung, JSR Corporation, Barclays, Hitachi Metals, Honda, Nagase, Keio University, Oak Ridge National Lab, Oxford University and University of Melbourne.

IBM announced its next-generation Power Systems Servers, incorporating its newly designed POWER9 processor. Built specifically for compute-intensive AI workloads, the new POWER9 systems are capable of improving the training times of deep learning frameworks, enabling enterprises to build more accurate AI applications, faster.

Over the past 12 months, there have been many new initiatives aimed at boosting access to and adoption of artificial intelligence. Many resources need to be aligned, including data analytics and computing processing power. But the most important ingredient is human intelligence. AI will only succeed if it is working in partnership with human intelligence, and only humans can provide the business context that gives AI value.
