IBM has announced Rapid Move for SAP S/4HANA, an approach designed to help accelerate the process of migrating existing SAP systems to SAP S/4HANA.

The U.S. Department of Justice has given its approval for the $34 billion acquisition of Red Hat by IBM, according to a regulatory filing. IBM continues to expect the transaction to close in the second half of 2019.

Red Hat and Microsoft have announced the general availability of Azure Red Hat OpenShift, which brings a jointly-managed enterprise-grade Kubernetes solution to Microsoft's public cloud, Microsoft Azure.

Syncsort has announced Ironstream for ServiceNow, extending Syncsort Ironstream to support advanced analytics in ServiceNow Discovery for an expanded view of enterprise infrastructure—on-premise and in the cloud.

Enterprise agility isn't a single initiative but rather a collection of activities and technologies that lead toward that goal. This includes adoption of microservices, containers, and Kubernetes to increase the flexibility of systems, applications, and data by releasing them from underlying hardware.
