Oracle has announced world record multi-node SPECjAppServer2004 benchmark results for Oracle Fusion Middleware. The combination of Oracle WebLogic Server, a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, together with Oracle Database 11g on mission-critical HP Integrity server blades running HP-UX 11i v3 delivered the record-breaking results.

Think About It
The old maxim, "may you live in interesting times" certainly holds true for data managers and professionals these days. The year 2008 was full of changes and challenges and 2009 promises even more, but Jim Swartz, CIO of Sybase, does see a silver lining to the turbulent economy and that is in greater IT-business alignment.
