IBM has announced the IBM Netezza Customer Intelligence Appliance, an appliance that analyzes up to petabytes of data, including consumer sales data and online shopping trends, to help retailers gain actionable insight on buying patterns. According to IBM, the new analytics appliance can help retailers better understand buying patterns across multiple channels, and build stronger, more profitable customer relationships.

The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) has re-elected Mark C. Clark as its 2012 president and elected the members of the organization's executive committee. "The OAUG will continue to help its members increase productivity and return on investment throughout 2012 by focusing on the meaningful core benefits of membership, such as targeted educational programs, professional networking opportunities, and meaningful interaction and influence with Oracle," said Clark.

Star Analytics, Inc., a provider of application process automation and integration software, has released the latest version of its data bridging technology, Star Integration Server, which is intended to make it easy to extract and combine data from Oracle systems with other business intelligence (BI) applications and data warehouses.

Talend, an open source software provider, has announced the availability of the Talend Platform for Data Services, which provides developers and users of the data services a common development, deployment and monitoring environment for both data management and application integration. Talend's data services solution offers common tooling, providing organizations with the ability to choose the most effective enterprise-grade technologies to solve their integration needs.
