The State of IT Research
Every since Pat McGovern first went around the country visiting sites that had mainframe computers to determine how they were being used in the early 1960s, market research has been an essential element of IT decision-making. But all research is not equal. The quality of the numbers often relies on two questions–who is asking and who is answering? In this blog, I plan to go inside the numbers produced both by Unisphere Research, our own market research group, as well as others who have go public with their studies.
