IBM has announced it has acquired InfoDyne Corp., a leader in high-speed platforms and data feed connectors, based in Park Ridge, IL. According to IBM, InfoDyne complements its software products for the financial markets industry, such as WebSphere Front Office for Financial Markets, WebSphere MQ Low Latency, and WebSphere DataPower appliances. InfoDyne products will become part of the IBM Software Group WebSphere software brand. www.ibm.com

The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), the world’s largest knowledgebase for Oracle Applications users, announced a key alliance with the Deutsche Oracle Anwendergruppe (DOAG), the German Oracle Users Group. Through the alliance, DOAG members have expanded access to the worldwide OAUG community. Participating members benefit from numerous educational and communication tools designed to enhance productivity and empower users to maximize their investment in Oracle applications. Joint ventures include online training and other educational programs for application users in Germany. DOAG members also benefit from OAUG’s newest educational initiative, Knowledge Factoryä, a dynamic platform for user-submitted content that provides a comprehensive knowledge-sharing resource for the organization’s members. www.oaug.org

EnterpriseDB, an enterprise open source database company, launched the EnterpriseDB Blade Partner Program and announced the first 16 companies to join the program. “Blade” is the term given to a technology solution that is complementary to or integrated with EnterpriseDB’s Postgres Plus or Postgres Plus Advanced Server products. www.enterprisedb.com

Sybase, a provider of enterprise infrastructure, mobile software and mobile services, announced several hundred new customers worldwide signed up for Sybase IQ analytics server, the market leader in column-oriented database, in the last year. This follows Sybase’s record-breaking revenue year where it reached the billion-dollar mark. www.sybase.com

LongJump, a provider of on-demand business applications, unveiled a “Jumpstart Partner” reseller program.  The new program is intended to serve the requirements of resellers, developers, and consultants with either a vertical market focus or a functional business area focus, such as CRM or HR.   The program was designed to provide partners with an incremental revenue channel where they can monetize LongJump’s platform with their own premium services. www.longjump.com

InterSystems Corp. announced the winners of its 2008 Innovator Awards competition which recognize creativity and innovation in developing new applications based on InterSystems' database and integration software product family. Award submissions came from 19 countries, reflecting InterSystems' international market penetration. Awards went to CSC Computer Sciences in The Netherlands, Forerun, in Waltham, MA, and ForHealth Technologies, in Daytona Beach, FL. The Student Innovator Award went to a team from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute for a software configuration management (SCM) application called SteadySCM built on CACHÉ. www.intersystems.com

GT Software, a global provider of rapid SOA development solutions, announced that its flagship GT Software Ivory Service Architect solution was utilized by SunTrust Bank for extending banking services to customers’ cell phones. The new service uses GT Software’s flagship solution, Ivory Service Architect, to connect front-end banking software on customers' cellular telephones with mainframe-based customer information, enabling mobile customers to make balance inquiries, pay bills, and perform transfers between accounts. www.gtsoftware.com

ASG Software Solutions, provider of the Business Service Platform, has announced a partnership with Microsoft, that will enable the company to offer a comprehensive data warehouse package that combines ASG's metadata management capabilities with Microsoft's SQL Server.
