Hitachi Vantara, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., has announced plans to acquire the business of privately held Waterline Data, Inc. Waterline Data's patented "fingerprinting" technology uses AI- and rule-based systems to automate the discovery, classification, and analysis of distributed and diverse data assets to accurately and efficiently tag large volumes of data based on common characteristics.
Insight Partners has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Veeam Software, a provider of in backup solutions that deliver data management for the cloud. Under the ownership of Insight Partners, Veeam will become a U.S. company, with a U.S.-based leadership team, while continuing its global expansion from offices in 30 countries and with customers in over 160 countries.
Vapor IO, creators of the Kinetic Edge platform and Kinetic Edge Exchange (KEX), announced Cloudflare will be rolling out its cloud services on the Kinetic Edge platform, nationwide.
