Suresh Srinivas is the co-founder and CEO of Collate and the creator of the OpenMetadata open-source project. Previously, he served as Chief Data Architect at Uber, where he helped design and operate one of the world’s largest data platforms. Before Uber, Suresh was a co-founder of Hortonworks and held engineering leadership roles at Yahoo during the early evolution of big data infrastructure.



Across two decades, Suresh has worked at the intersection of distributed systems, data platforms, and governance—building systems used by thousands of engineers and analysts. His current work focuses on semantic intelligence: enabling people and AI to reason about data using shared meaning, context, and open standards.
