Traditional Web and enterprise application architectures leverage JBoss extensively to service compute-, display- and data-intensive operations. But Web 2.0 and other advanced applications require much higher volumes of transactional data, and their scaling requirements are indeterminate. This paper suggests a rebalancing of responsibilities between JBoss and Postgres Plus.
