As CEO of GenieDB, a provider of a Database-as-a-Service solution for MySQL, Cary Breese is recognized for his achievements in technology, financial risk management and operations. Most recently, Cary served as CFO/COO for Frost Venture Partners, a high-tech startup incubator with a focus on Big Data and Cloud Computing. Previously, he was founder and CEO of Trafalgar, a profitable, technology-driven financial services firm that returned 18x its original investment upon its sale. Before that, Cary was Senior Vice President at CIGNA with bottom line responsibility for the $120 million financial institutions division, following rapid progression through an executive financial management and actuarial program with emphasis on predictive analytics and risk analysis. Prior to that, he worked in the high-tech aerospace industry, serving as a managing software engineer for Lockheed Martin developing a naval-based radar control system. Cary earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University.
