Mark Torrance is CTO of Rocket Fuel (NASDAQ: FUEL), the leading provider of artificial intelligence (AI) advertising solutions for digital marketers. He drives the company's core technology development around predictive modeling and optimization for real-time bidding. He studied AI at Stanford and MIT, where in 1994 he left his PhD behind to blaze a trail of entrepreneurship on the newly emerging web. Mark started StockMaster.com as a hobby, and then quickly grew traffic to build the world's largest stock-quote site. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Symbolic Systems from Stanford and a Master of Science in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
