I don’t think we need to worry about Skynet just yet, but artificial intelligence (AI) is clearly changing the game. As a former skeptic, I’m starting to see its value, especially in how it streamlines software development. There are many well-funded startups looking to automate anything and everything with AI.
Like any disruptive technology, AI comes with both benefits and risks. On the positive side, AI can boost employee productivity and improve operational efficiency. However, overreliance can lead to complacency and create a disconnect between businesses and their customers. There are also serious ethical, copyright, and privacy concerns with AI technology as I’m sure we will start seeing them play out in the courts.
“Before launching any AI initiative, it’s critical to ensure your data is clean and reliable”
At Kore we are fully engaged with several AI initiatives to bolster our ecommerce and Integration platforms, but we take a measured approach to the practicality of each AI feature and continue to apply best practices to ensure data security.
Businesses should not abandon traditional systems and processes without considering the impact on their employes and clients. An all-of-the-above approach is often more realistic, as achieving full adoption of any single process is rare.
Before launching any AI initiative, it’s critical to ensure your data is clean and reliable. Kore helps companies achieve this through our Kore Integrate platform.
Our Kore Commerce platform provides a comprehensive Sales Enablement solution, including traditional B2B/B2C storefronts, punchout, Field Management Service integration, and AI agents that streamline product selection, quoting, ordering, and post-sale support.
While AI races to revolutionize all aspects of how we do business, it’s okay to proceed with a little caution.
