Enterprise AI Needs a Trust Layer
Gartner predicts that through 2026, organizations will abandon 60% of AI projects unsupported by AI-ready data. That number shouldn’t surprise anyone working in enterprise technology. AI doesn’t have the business context it needs to retrieve data in a trustworthy way. That’s why most deployments stall before they reach production.
This pattern is consistent: a company builds an AI application, deploys it, and the results come back inconsistent. The same question yields different answers on different days. There are two reasons this happens. First, AI has broad world knowledge but no local knowledge of your business. Without that context, it makes decisions an experienced analyst at your company simply wouldn’t make. Second, AI is probabilistic by nature which is useful for many things. For enterprise data retrieval, it’s a disqualifier. You cannot build a production process on a system that may or may not return the same answer twice.
The solution is a trust layer between AI and your data. This layer needs to contain your business definitions, your governance rules, and the ability to generate SQL consistently and deterministically, so that AI can request data and get back results that are accurate, secure, and repeatable.
That’s what Strategy Mosaic is built to do. Mosaic functions as a Universal Semantic Layer: a single governed layer that sits between your AI and your data sources, holding your business definitions and taking SQL generation away from the AI entirely. This is the key point. The AI identifies what it needs. Mosaic handles how to fetch it, generating the same query every time for the same inputs. Hallucinations drop and consistency improves. Security is enforced at the semantic layer, not patched in later.
The benefits extend further: lower token costs, reduced query volumes, and full flexibility across data warehouses, LLMs, and clouds. Teams can build and adapt without being locked into any single vendor’s stack.
Thousands of enterprises have already deployed our semantic layer in production, precisely because AI-ready data demands governance and trust. We’ve been building that foundation for decades.
