LinuxCon Europe Coming to Prague - October 26-28

LinuxCon is already the premiere Linux conference in North America, South America and Asia, providing an unmatched collaboration and education space for all matters Linux, and now The Linux Foundation is extending this event into Europe with the launch of LinuxCon Europe. LinuxCon Europe will take place October 26-28 at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague, Czech Republic (co-located with the Linux Kernel Summit and GStreamer Conference).

At LinuxCon Europe, Yekaterina Menovchshikova, a program coordinator in the IBM Center of Innovation for Linux and Open Standards in Astana, Kazakhstan, will present "Linux in Growth Markets - the Kazakhstan Experience." Menovchshikova will talk about IBM's experience with Linux-based projects in Kazakhstan, and discuss best practices and lessons learned. Kazakhstan is one of the lesser known emerging markets, yet it is the 9th largest nation in the world, bigger in size than Western Europe and with a strong economy, thanks to its vast oil and gas resources. Like many emerging markets, Kazakhstan faces the ambitious task of growing and enhancing its IT infrastructure rapidly to match the demands of a new economy. This session will be especially of interest to companies that want to enter the Kazakhstan market and gain a strong foothold there with their Linux-based solutions.

LinuxCon Europe will bring together the best and brightest that the Linux community has to offer, including community developers, system administrators, business executives and operations experts. LinuxCon Europe will deliver attendees top notch speaking talent (from across Europe and around the globe), innovative and abundant program content, and a wide variety of opportunities to connect with peers. For this year only, The Linux Foundation will offer LinuxCon Europe attendees the opportunity to also attend the Embedded Linux Conference Europe (ELCE) at no additional cost.
