Kore Technologies Announces Kourier Integrator for U2 Release 2.0

Kore Technologies has announced release 2.0 of Kourier Integrator for U2, its enterprise integration suite, which provides extract, transform, and load (ETL) and enterprise application integration (EAI) capabilities for connecting IBM U2 applications to Microsoft SQL Server and other best-in-class applications.

The most significant change in the new release is the incorporation of the functionality previously provided by the stand-alone SQL Accelerator product into the Kourier Integrator Web interface. Now all tasks for SQL integration projects can be performed within one product, which not only improves overall workflow but provides other advantages too. For example, all SSIS packages for an integration can now be quickly regenerated with just a few mouse clicks.

“The goal was to create more of an integrated environment so that the developers could do all that they needed to do from one user interface,” Mark Dobransky, co-founder and managing partner of Kore Technologies, told DBTA. “Prior to this we had two separate user interfaces. We had one where you defined how you got the data out of a MultiValue database and one where you put the information into SQL Server. We have unified that so it gives them more of an integrated development environment. This will save developers time, allowing them to be more productive.”

The new release includes faster full refresh processing of SQL Server tables; data export and import statistics tracking to support data reconciliation; user-defined formulas for data export fields; an improved testing workbench for data exports; re-organized application menus to provide better workflow, as well as usability and interface enhancements and an expanded online help system.

With this release, said Dobransky, “We are amplifying on the whole design principle of Kourier Integrator which is to adopt best practices in business intelligence and make it simple to move data from U2 to SQL Server.” The addition of more auditing capabilities in this release ensures that users can adhere to data validation requirements based either on their own organization’s internal standards or external regulatory mandates, he added.

“We have found that a lot of people love their MultiValue, but want to get data to SQL Server for any number of reasons. They will keep using U2, but want to use SQL Server for reporting, for instance,” Keith Lambert, vice president of marketing and business development, observed. “We are making it better and easier for customers to do that and we are at a price point that is very affordable for the market that we serve.”
Release 2.0 of Kourier Integrator for U2 is scheduled for general availability in October 2008. For more information on the solution, go to www.koretech.com or send an email to sales@koretech.com.
