Rocket Software has introduced U2 Clients July 2014, with improvements have been made to how the clients are organized and installed.
U2 Clients includes standards-based drivers for ODBC and JDBC to connect to U2 via a variety of tools, as well as the APIs for high-speed, native access.
To help save time and make the installation process less complicated, customers can install the exact clients they need - not a large grouping as previously packaged. In addition, going forward, users have the option to choose between downloading Current Clients or the Legacy Clients.
In addition, the initial foundation has been laid for IPv6, and Rocket has begun to create the associated architecture within the data servers.
Customers can download the U2 Current Clients July 2014 and take advantage of the new features that Rocket UniVerse 11.2, and the recently released Rocket UniData 7.3.7 provide. UniData 7.3.7, released earlier this month, adds certification for Windows 8.1 and also 2012 R2 - an update to OpenSSL 1.0.1h - along with performance improvements for Windows RFS.
