ASG Software Solutions announced the launch of the next version of its cloud orchestration suite, intended to enable IT organizations to leverage existing data center resources – including mainframes, distributed and virtualized workloads – alongside public cloud resources and software investments under one management platform.
The new release, CloudFactory 8.0, is designed to provide enterprises a single tool to manage all existing IT environments and resources. “CloudFactory 8.0 lets businesses derive more value from their past, present and future data center investments by effectively eliminating traditional silos to enable application-centric cloud and data center management.” said Torsten Volk, vice president of product management for ASG Software Solutions. “With a single tool for both legacy and modern environments companies can now truly bridge the gap between the corporate data center and the tools their employees use every day.”
CloudFactory provides intuitive, dynamic, hybrid workspaces for both desktop and mobile devices, and automated self-service provisioning solutions, the vendor claims. It incorporates services such as Office 365, Dropbox, Zoho and Facebook; SaaS enterprise applications such as Salesforce and NetSuite; public cloud offerings from Amazon EC2 and Microsoft Azure; as well as core technologies such as those from Citrix, VMware and Microsoft.
CloudFactory 8.0 also enables the unified management of legacy IT and modern environments based on OpenStack, CloudStack, CloudFoundry and other distributed platforms.
