AWS and Grafana Labs Collaborate to Provide Grafana Users Amazon Managed Services

AWS and Grafana Labs are forming a partnership that will result in providing Amazon Managed Services for Grafana, a scalable managed offering that provides AWS customers a native way to run Grafana directly within AWS alongside all their other AWS services.

AWS recognizes the strength of its community, and this new offering helps meet the demand from its customers for Grafana. AWS wants to make sure Grafana is available wherever and however it makes the most sense for users, which is at the heart of its partnership with Grafana, according to the vendor.

Grafana is also collaborating with AWS on its new Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus, built on the Cortex project for running Prometheus at scale.

This service can complement Amazon Managed Service for Grafana. The Cortex maintainers (including its co-creator) who work at Grafana Labs bring their expertise to the collaboration, while the numerous Prometheus maintainers on our staff are continually shaping the direction both projects take.

Customers using Amazon Managed Service for Grafana can seamlessly upgrade to the full Grafana Enterprise experience, allowing them to amplify their existing IT investments by bringing data together through data source plugins for ServiceNow, Splunk, Snowflake, Datadog, MongoDB, Oracle, New Relic, Dynatrace, Wavefront, and AppDynamics. Grafana Enterprise customers get expert 24x7x365 support directly from Grafana Labs, as well as customized training and professional services.

Grafana Labs also offers a full stack on Grafana Cloud (which includes Grafana Loki for logs, Prometheus and Graphite for metrics, and Grafana Tempo for tracing).

Grafana recently launched Grafana Metrics Enterprise, which is an enhanced version of Cortex designed for running Prometheus-as-a-service in an on-premise environment.
