Actiance Teams Up With IBM on Social Communications Tool

Actiance is teaming up with IBM to integrate the Actiance social communications compliance, archiving and analytics platform into IBM’s Information Lifecycle Governance product portfolio. The combined platform enables customers to more effectively address issues related to migrating current technology solutions to the cloud.

The Actiance partnership will incorporate the Actiance Platform, which helps provide deeper insight into archived communications through cloud-based analytics and enables IBM customers to govern enterprise communications across 70-plus different communication channels – which include email, messaging, collaboration and social content - under one cloud platform.

“Unified communications, social media and cloud archiving are changing enterprise communications and how companies must control and manage those conversations so they are in compliance,” said James Schellhase, worldwide business leader of the IBM Information Lifecycle Governance Group. “With the Actiance Platform, IBM customers are now able to actively enforce and centrally manage policies to safely and securely govern all their communications data in the cloud at a lower cost.”

The combined offering will help companies reduce the cost and risk of information governance and create and enforce granular policies for all business-critical communications. The Actiance Platform provides a holistic view of the entire information lifecycle through an archive that captures, monitors and governs conversations in context.
