Adaptiv Networks Releases New Software Solution That Supports Remote Workers

Adaptiv Networks, a leading cloud-native SD-WAN-as-a-Service vendor, is releasing their new My Connect software solution that brings secure SD-WAN access to work-at-home and mobile users as a simple, cost-effective add-on service that eliminates the need for VPN hardware.

Traditionally, remote workers have relied on corporate VPNs for secure access, but these technologies have significant costs and were unable to scale during recent pandemic lockdowns, creating challenges for IT departments.

Many SD-WAN solutions can offer remote workers a VPN alternative by installing an SD-WAN edge device in the employees’ home office. The SD-WAN edge device increases the cost and does not provide secure access for mobile users who connect from hotels, airports, or other remote locations.

Adaptiv Networks’ My Connect software product offers simple, affordable, and secure SD-WAN access from anywhere.

It is a software license that eliminates the need for an SD-WAN edge device, and no VPN hardware is required in the corporate data center.

My Connect currently runs as an application on any Windows PC and provides secure, scalable access to the corporate SD-WAN over any type of Internet connection. As a managed service, it does not require IT management.

My Connect runs on the Adaptiv Networks’ SD-WAN infrastructure and uses automatic failover and patented link conditioning technologies to boost the quality-of-experience for corporate applications and services, including those that are sensitive to latency.

It provides a better cloud user experience by sending traffic directly to the Internet without routing back through the corporate VPN infrastructure. When an Adaptiv Networks SD-WAN customer purchases My Connect licenses the application is provisioned to the remote employees by email.

In addition to My Connect, Adaptiv Networks offers Home Edition versions of their SD-WAN and SD-INTERNET products.

Home Edition solutions are targeted for home office workers who rely heavily on real-time voice and video communications.

These offerings are powered by the Adaptiv Edge CPE device which ensures a rich user quality of experience for voice and video services, with no dropped calls on link failover.

By adding My Connect to the company’s existing Home Edition portfolio, Adaptiv Networks now offers a complete line of SD-WAN solutions for the emerging remote and mobile workforce.

"My Connect enables our SD-WAN customers to move beyond VPN. It's a managed remote access solution that combines security with simplicity, allowing a hybrid workforce of home office and mobile workers to securely connect from anywhere using any Internet connection,” said Bernard Breton, CEO of Adaptiv Networks. “This software-only solution rounds out our existing portfolio of productivity-enhancing home office solutions that ensure employees have the right connectivity to get their work done.”
