Arcadia Data Secures $15 Million in Latest Funding Round

Arcadia Data, provider of visual analytics software native to Apache Hadoop and the cloud, has raised $15 million in a Series B funding to support strategies and product innovation.

This round was led by Pelion Venture Partners with participation from existing investors Intel Capital, Mayfield Fund, and Blumberg Capital. The round brings total equity raised to $27 million and reflects the sustained five-fold organizational growth and strong customer momentum the company has achieved.

“At Arcadia Data, we recognize the market need for analytics and BI solutions that are native to big data,” said Sushil Thomas, CEO and co-founder, Arcadia Data. “Our impressive growth is not only a testament to the work we’ve done, but it is also a sign of growing demand for products like those Arcadia Data offers to bridge the gap between business users getting insights and value from big data. This investment allows us to continue along our exciting growth trajectory and to keep moving forward business innovations and our go-to-market strategy to leverage the opportunity in front of us.”

Innovations as a result of this investment include:

  • Search-based BI and analytics native to Hadoop and the cloud for Arcadia Enterprise, which makes deriving value from organizational data as easy as using an Internet search engine.
  • The industry’s first native visual analytics for Apache Kafka. Arcadia Data is the first company to provide a native integration with Kafka via KSQL from Confluent. The integration, available in Arcadia Enterprise, gives all users advanced visualizations for streaming data use cases, specifically around alerts and time-based data exploration.
