Code42 and Mimecast Partner to Secure Email, Web, and Cloud Against Data Theft and Leakage

Code42 Software, Inc., the leader in data loss and insider threat protection, is announcing a partnership with Mimecast, a global cybersecurity company, delivering an integrated solution that offers data leak and theft protection for a variety of user activities—including those across email, web, cloud, and more. Mimecast for Incydr Flows is designed to bring greater control and visibility to enterprises struggling to stop and remediate exfiltration events, according to the companies.

From a single pane of glass, Mimecast for Incydr Flows delivers robust security tools that allow users to dynamically monitor and respond to potential data leaks and risk-based events. In the event of insider risk, the solution empowers security teams to rapidly triage incidents without requiring complex correlation, according to the companies.

“Email is one of the top vectors insiders use to exfiltrate data,” said Joe Payne, president and CEO of Code42. “This integration with Mimecast allows our joint customers to better manage the risks associated with email exfiltration. It’s another example of how we’re simplifying the job of a security professional, while not disrupting the productivity of the end users that security supports.”

Mimecast for Incydr Flows offers a variety of key features, including:

  • User group detection and management, leveraging Mimecast Profile Groups to easily add, remove, and manage users—such as those that are high risk or repeat offenders—in Incydr Watchlists based on alert types
  • Exfiltration detection for seamless management of high-risk users and enhanced visibility into email, endpoint, and cloud exfiltration events
  • Full range response controls from both Mimecast and Incydr that drive proactive and preventative actions against risk activities

“Our technology partnership with Code42 comes at a critical time amid the ongoing adoption of hybrid work models and AI technologies that have put businesses in a constant state of data loss risk,” said Jules Martin, vice president of technology alliances at Mimecast. “Through this integration, Code42 and Mimecast help joint customers to quickly detect and respond to threats, while allowing them essential visibility to work protected.”
