Cribl Enters SCA with AWS, Propelling Data Solution Development for IT and Security

Cribl, the Data Engine for IT and Security, is announcing that it has signed a strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) with AWS, with the goal of developing solutions that ease the management of IT and security data. With this solidified relationship, Cribl’s variety of products will be available on the AWS Marketplace, benefiting from AWS assurances in the arena of data security.

The span of Cribl products—including Cribl Stream, an observability pipeline designed to handle real-time processing of logs, metrics, traces, IT- and security-relevant data efficiently, Cribl Edge, an intelligent vendor-neutral agent for data collection at scale, and Cribl Search, a search-in-place solution—enable AWS customers to accelerate time-to-value, improve operational efficiency, and increase product ease-of-use, according to the companies. Each of these products are available in the AWS Marketplace.

“This new agreement with AWS is another major step toward delivering customers choice and control over their rapidly growing IT and security data,” said Zac Kilpatrick, vice president of global channels at Cribl. “With access to Cribl’s suite of products, customers are empowered to gain complete control over their data with the ability to easily optimize it, move it to where it needs to go, search the data in place, and work more efficiently to drive business success today and into the future.”

Cribl also benefits from an integration with Amazon Security Lake, a solution that makes it easier to normalize and combine security data from AWS and dozens of enterprise security data sources. This integration allows customers to choose data from any source and convert it to the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF) format, which is further searchable at rest and forwards only the critical data to systems of analysis.

“Security is increasingly important as customers embrace generative AI and other digital tools to transform their businesses,” said Alan Braun, director, technology partnerships and AWS Marketplace business development, Americas at AWS. “Amazon Security Lake Partners and OCSF members such as Cribl are making it easier for customers to capture deeper insights from their security data, improving protection of their workloads, applications, and data across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.”

Additionally, Cribl has achieved the AWS Data and Analytics Competency and AWS Security Competency designations, as well as announced the availability of Cribl Edge as an Amazon EKS add-on, increasing the seamlessness of EKS data sharing between security and operations teams.

The SCA between Cribl and AWS enables a myriad of other benefits, including:

  • Continued development of Cribl.Cloud on AWS
  • Go-to-market expansion with AWS, furthering the creation of solutions that address modern data challenges with utmost efficiency
  • Global expansion of Cribl into new regions, including Europe, Australia, and New Zealand
  • Increased freedom for customers through AWS integrations
  • Integrations with AWS’ Security Lake and support for OCSF format
