Crowdbotics Collaborates with Microsoft to Drive Systematic Code Reuse with Advanced AI

Crowdbotics, the pioneer of CodeOps as a new standard methodology for software development, is announcing a new collaboration with Microsoft, aiming to merge Microsoft’s expertise in cloud services and AI with Crowdbotics’ leadership in CodeOps—an AI-based approach designed to accelerate app development through systematic code reuse. Additionally, Crowdbotics is announcing the general availability of its CodeOps platform, an AI-powered solution enabling systematic code reuse by building on top of a customer’s existing DevSecOps processes.

Crowdbotics’ CodeOps platform injects systematic code reuse at every stage of the application lifecycle, from ideation to planning and development. By enabling its customers to get value out of the code they’ve already written, the CodeOps platform uses AI to accelerate time-to-value, reduce overall risk, and help organizations avoid “re-inventing the wheel,” during app development, according to Crowdbotics.

The CodeOps platform innovates in four key stages during app development to eliminate repetitive and tedious labor for enterprise teams, including:

  • Planning: Using AI, the platform improves the quality of the requirements definition process with high-quality Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), produced via natural language, which take infrastructure, standards, and policies into account.
  • Matching: The platform executes detailed requirement matching in the PRD with AI while maintaining the existing code within a centralized module catalog.
  • Assembly: Once modules are identified in the matching process, the platform uses AI to assemble the modules into a nearly complete application.
  • Deployment: Developers then review the nearly complete app and fill in any remaining gaps, allowing them to focus on incorporating valuable and innovative capabilities.

Through Crowdbotics’ partnership with Microsoft, joint customers will be able to increase the speed and efficiency of creating new enterprise applications for Microsoft Azure.

Crowdbotics’ AI capabilities are now powered by Azure OpenAI Services—ensuring that these features benefit from Microsoft’s sophisticated advancements in the space—and is entirely implemented on Azure—taking advantage of Microsoft’s industry-leading services for data, compute, containers, identity, security, networking, and more.

Additionally, this collaboration enables Crowdbotics to recommend and install Azure services and components that allow teams to deploy apps directly into GitHub and Azure through the power of AI, even for complex use cases. This empowers customers to use their Azure commitments to generate code directly with Crowdbotics, ultimately helping teams improve their productivity and delivery of innovation and quality, according to the companies.

"Microsoft has built a reputation for working with companies that demonstrate the ability to develop new and unique use cases for AI, and this collaboration helps validate the power of our CodeOps platform," said Anand Kulkarni, founder and CEO, Crowdbotics. "This relationship, combined with the general availability of our flagship CodeOps platform, gives organizations access to the tools they need to speed up app development so they can focus on other areas of innovation."

Not only can Crowdbotics’ platform be utilized to build apps that run in a client’s own Azure tenants, it can also be used to host these apps from within the Crowdbotics cloud runtime environment, powered by Azure. This allows enterprise apps to benefit from Microsoft’s cloud technology without needing to worry about the complexities for managing and operating those apps, according to the companies.

"Collaborating with Crowdbotics allows us to give customers more options for developing applications while saving time and resources," said Gustavo Blum, general manager, global partner solutions, Microsoft. "Microsoft Azure and our investments in AI, combined with Crowdbotics' methodology for systematic code reuse, provides customers with a new, powerful set of tools for delivering digital transformation and building the apps that move the needle."
