Datawatch and Lavastorm Form Strategic Alliance

Datawatch Corporation, provider of information optimization solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Lavastorm Analytics, an analytics software vendor, to provide customers the ability to expand their use of unstructured and semi-structured data sources when developing analytic applications. Datawatch’s Information Optimization Platform merged with the Lavastorm Analytics Engine enables customers to build analytical applications faster and with greater data variety in areas such as machine data analytics for IT operations, billing verification and accuracy for communications service providers, electronic data interchange analytics for healthcare and more.

The Datawatch-Lavastorm partnership allows organizations to address big data and unstructured data problems. “Lavastorm takes very complex data process applications and make it very elegant and easy for an end user to map data process flows through a life cycle to provide an analytics solution. Together, we enable more data sources and formats to get into the Lavastorm environment,” Michael Morrison, president and CEO of Datawatch, tells 5 Minute Briefing. Lavastorm’s agile data analytics engine combines with the flexibility to handle a wide variety of content sources and formats through Datawatch’s information optimization technology.

Datawatch and Lavastorm will support the partnership by co-selling and joint marketing programs. “We’re doing some joint marketing around the solution and we’re going to be building deeper integration between our solution and Lavastorm so that the data we’re able to provide is very easily consumable by the Lavastorm application,” Morrison explains. Additionally, Datawatch has begun to evaluate incorporating Lavastorm into its packaged solutions to provide greater flexibility to customers who want to tune the applications once deployed.
