FluidCloud Brings Cloud Cloning to OCI

FluidCloud announced it is officially supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to give customers the freedom to run workloads anywhere.

At the core of this capability is Cloud Cloning—FluidCloud’s signature technology for reverse-engineering, replicating, and deploying full infrastructures across clouds.

With Cloud Cloning, users can automatically recreate their environment (state, configs, wiring, dependencies) and launch it across regions, accounts, even different clouds—or roll back migrations when needed, the company said.

Here’s how Cloud Cloning works:

  1. Inventory everything — compute, network, storage, configuration
  2. Map to OCI equivalents — find target configurations that match
  3. Generate IaC in Terraform form — ready for automated deployment
  4. Capture dependencies and network topology — so services still talk to each other
  5. Check governance and compliance rules — make sure the target meets your policies
  6. Enable region/account backups — restoreable in new zones
  7. Translate any provider-specific constructs — deal with the “special sauce”

OCI is increasingly drawing interest—especially from enterprises running Oracle databases, but also from organizations seeking strong price-performance, advanced features, and enterprise-grade SLAs, FluidCloud said.

With this OCI support, the company is offering more than another cloud connection, it is enabling OCI as a first-class destination, according to the vendor.
