Global supply chains face constant disruption, and traditional automation can't keep pace. The real value isn't just deploying AI agents, it's grounding them in trusted context so they can act with confidence and governance.
DBTA recently held a webinar, Grounding Supply Chain Agents in Trusted Context, with Ary Paydawy, community of practice leader at Informatica from Salesforce, that sets the context on agentic AI and trusted data. Discover how to build a trusted data foundation so your agents stop guessing and start delivering outcomes you can stand behind.
Your supply chain strategy is a data strategy, Paydawy said. Internal and external factors are causing supply chain disruptions. AI agents can handle routine supply chain tasks so teams can focus on strategy, relationships, and resilience.
AI has moved from answers to actions. However, while most enterprises are deploying agents, few have the data foundation to back them, he explained. Trusted Context is the advantage.
Trusted context means your data—managed across every source and system—is validated and improved for quality, including meaning, history, and relationships that make it actionable.
According to Paydawy, outcomes include:
- More accurate and trustworthy AI decisions
- Hyper-personalized AI customer experiences
- Faster insights and autonomous action
- Consistent sales, service, and marketing experiences
- Scalable, governed AI innovation
Data Quality is an input. Decision Quality is the outcome, he said. There are six pillars of decision quality, this includes the following:
- Authoritative Data: Tells the Truth
- Comprehensive Data: Tells the Whole Truth
- Contextual Data: Tells the Correct Truth for the Situation
- Timely Data: Tells the Truth for the World as It Is Now
- Responsible Data: Tells the Truth Without Creating Outcomes We Can’t Roll Back
- Secure Data: Tells the Truth and Protects What Might Be Inferred
Informatica Master Data Management provides a unified metadata foundation, Paydawy explained.
