IBM U.K. announced the acquisition of Logiq Consulting, an NCSC-assured U.K. cybersecurity consultancy with deep expertise in highly regulated environments including the U.K. Defence Industry, U.K. Critical National Infrastructure, and the wider Public Sector.
Logiq Consulting brings specialist capabilities spanning cybersecurity assurance, Secure by Design, secure systems engineering, digital transformation, and secure managed services, helping organizations embed security from the outset and deliver resilient technology in complex operating environments, according to IBM.
Logiq Consulting extends IBM’s cybersecurity transformation portfolio and adds complementary capabilities to SiXworks’ (an IBM Company) digital transformation expertise in Defence and the Public Sector. The acquisition advances IBM’s broader hybrid cloud, AI and digital sovereignty agenda.
Together, IBM and Logiq Consulting will help U.K. clients maintain control over critical data and technology environments, meet evolving security and regulatory requirements, and adopt AI securely, with confidence, the vendors said.
"Protecting mission-critical systems has never been more important," said Mark Hughes, global managing partner for IBM Consulting Cybersecurity Services. "This acquisition strengthens our ability to help clients manage risk, protect critical services and navigate an increasingly complex threat landscape."
Logiq Consulting has recognized expertise in developing and applying Secure by Design approaches across the U.K. public and defense sectors, helping organizations build security into every stage of the technology lifecycle.
The business also developed and operates DISX, a managed, sovereign collaboration platform that enables government suppliers to securely exchange sensitive information with U.K. Government and Defense organizations while maintaining control over where and how that information is managed.
"This marks an exciting new chapter for Logiq Consulting," said James Morgan, CEO of Logiq Consulting. "Our success has been built on exceptional people, trusted customer relationships, and a relentless focus on solving some of the UK's most complex cyber and security challenges. Our expertise in Defence and Critical National Infrastructure together with IBM's global scale, AI and hybrid cloud capabilities, will enable us to deliver even greater value to our customers and help strengthen the security and resilience of the critical systems and services that underpin modern society. IBM shares our commitment to innovation, excellence and customer success, and I am excited about the opportunities this creates for our people, our clients and the future of our business."
