IBM is acquiring Txture GmbH, a company with software assets that help businesses migrate, modernize, and optimize their hybrid cloud estates.
According to IBM, Txture brings powerful assets that complement IBM Consulting’s Application Migration & Modernization (AM&M) and Cloud Technology Strategy offerings.
By integrating Txture into the IBM Consulting Advantage platform, the company is extending its leadership in hybrid cloud transformation and enabling clients to realize value more rapidly.
With Txture joining IBM, the company’s consulting teams will be empowered with a comprehensive platform for end-to-end cloud value management. Whether it’s Txture’s assets strengthening the early discovery and planning phases of cloud journeys, or leveraging IBM’s Cloudability and Apptio products, IBM is uniquely positioned to guide clients through every phase of their cloud transformation journey—with speed, control, and confidence, the company said.
By adding Txture’s capabilities to IBM’s existing offerings, IBM consulting teams will be able to:
- Quickly understand a client’s current IT systems and decide the best modernization plan by automating the early analysis and accelerating the execution of cloud projects.
- Reduce manual work and improve quality of outputs.
- Make more informed data-driven recommendations.
- Develop client roadmaps that support sustainability and reduced IT carbon footprints.
The acquisition will enable IBM Consulting to save clients time, and deliver value faster in a secure, hybrid cloud environment according to IBM.
