ISUG-TECH 2014 Conference to Provide First Peek at SAP ASE 16

ISUG-TECH 2014 conference in Atlanta, scheduled for April 14-17, 2014, will provide a first exclusive look at the new features and functions in SAP ASE 16, scheduled for release this spring. SAP, a diamond sponsor of the event, will be hosting a number of sessions on the new release, which, as part of the SAP Data Management portfolio, helps to power extreme transactional applications.

The conference will provide more than 150 hours of technical session, more than 60 hours of workshops, and more than 50 expert speakers, a range of workshops, and training opportunities as well, said Mike Harrold, executive director of ISUG-TECH.  Early bird registration has been extended until Friday, February 28.

As part of the conference, a track focused solely on SAP PowerDesigner, a data modeling product used in thousands of companies around the world, will include two workshops from three of the biggest names in the PowerDesigner world - Martijn Evers, George McGeachie, and Marcel Schot, said Harrold. “The fact that the three of them is coming to the conference and doing this is awesome.”

And, as part of the SAP PowerBuilder  track, Yakov Werde will present an all-day session, geared toward providing participants with hands-on experience with the technology.

Appeon, which offers products that enable rapid and easy development of mobile and web applications for SAP customers, will be bringing four product engineers from China for the conference.  Appeon will provide in-depth technical sessions along with spotlighting customers’ real-life case studies.

In addition to the PowerBuilder and PowerDesigner workshops, another key workshop is the SAP ASE Quick Start for Oracle and SQL Server DBAs workshop which doubles as a refresher course for people who used to be Sybase DBAs but have not had that role for a while, allowing them to get up to date. And, the conference will include additional data management workshops for SAP ASE, SAP IQ, and SAP Replication Server.  The workshops will target both beginners and seasoned experts.
