StarRocks, provider of real-time enterprise analytics and creator of the StarRocks project, is announcing its integration of CelerData, acting as the development leader for StarRocks software and supplying commercial projects in conjunction with StarRocks technology. CelerData Enterprise, an on-premises deployment of StarRocks, will accelerate performance and querying as well as increase security for data engineers.
“We started the StarRocks project two years ago to solve the challenges facing real-time analytics,” said James Li, co-founder and CEO of CelerData. “Since then, we’ve built a platform uniquely designed for the next-generation real-time enterprise, to help organizations accelerate their digital transformation with powerful business intelligence from real-time, blazing fast analytics. ‘Celer’ comes from Latin where it has the meaning ‘fast’. With 2-3x better performance than industry alternatives, CelerData has a practical application as our new company name and is rooted in our desire and vision to be the leading choice for real-time analytics.”
CelerData is built upon StarRocks, acting as the next generation of sub-second latency analytical databases, according to the vendor. StarRocks is created for bolstering performance without complexity—supporting real-time data analysis with a large quantity of concurrent users without convoluted data pipelines. Accommodating data engineers needing to run high performance queries on a number of model types, such as flat tables, star, and snowflake schemas, StarRocks is designed to support expansive projects. CelerData catapults StarRocks to enterprise customers, regardless of environment location—whether on-premises or in the cloud.
CelerData Cloud is currently in beta and will be generally available during Q4 of 2022.
