Informatica Offers Pay-As-You-Go Hourly Pricing for Its Cloud Services on Azure

Informatica, a provider of data management solutions, is now offering hourly pricing for Informatica Cloud Services for Microsoft Azure in the Azure Marketplace. Available as a pay-as-you-go hourly pricing model, the solution is designed to help users of the Azure cloud platform and Microsoft Cortana Intelligence Suite get started faster on cloud data integration and management projects. Additionally, users can run enterprise-class integration jobs with no upfront costs, and simplify integration of disparate data sources – on-premises, in the cloud or in a hybrid environment.

According to the company, Informatica Cloud optimizes the value of Azure services by simplifying complex data management initiatives. This agile data integration and management solution includes pre-configured connectivity to multiple Azure data services including SQL Data Warehouse, Blob Storage, Data Lake Store and DocumentDB.

The new offering aims to help customers to fast-track cloud data management projects and expedite proof of concepts by accelerating the loading, management and delivery of relevant data to and from Azure data services, SaaS applications, Hadoop-based data lakes, and on-premises data sources.

More companies embracing a hybrid infrastructure, said Ronen Schwartz, senior vice president and general manager, Cloud, Big Data and Data Integration, Informatica, noting that the seamless interoperability and pay-as-you-go pricing of Informatica Cloud Services for Azure is expected to help companies move faster and save money as they migrate data workloads to Azure.

In addition to the pay-as-you-go option, Informatica says, customers also have an easier path to new big data analytics initiatives in the cloud with pre-built connectivity to richer datasets and self-service data integration. The recently announced Informatica HDInsight Quickstart offering for Azure spins up an enterprise-grade, fully integrated solution quickly, and with this Quickstart customers can deploy Microsoft HDInsight, Azure Blob Storage, Power BI and Informatica Cloud with all the connections and configurations pre-built.
