Simba Technologies Inc., a provider of relational and multi-dimensional data connectivity solutions, has announced that its JDBC Driver for SalesForce.com has been licensed by SAP AG. The solution enables advanced, cloud-based reporting and analysis on SalesForce CRM data in real-time. Simba's JDBC Driver for SalesForce.com will be included with the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) OnDemand solution to provide live connectivity to SalesForce.com.
"Simba's JDBC Driver for SalesForce.com enables SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand to connect to SalesForce.com data via standard JDBC," says Amyn Rajan, Simba's CEO. "The JDBC driver connects to SalesForce.com via the SalesForce Web Services API - directly serving up a user's CRM data for interactive, cloud-based analysis and reporting. The solution makes it easier to access information and eliminates the cost and complexity of finding workarounds to improve reporting performance."
SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand is a cloud-based solution that allows business people with no prior BI experience to explore, report and share information inside or outside the company. Because it's in the cloud, SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand can be acquired and setup without a long technology project and users start being productive within minutes. It's available standalone or can integrate with existing on-premise or cloud-based investments, delivering better insight for more informed decision making.
"SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand paired with Simba's JDBC Driver for SalesForce.com provides users of SalesForce.com with a new level of cloud-based analytics, offering them visibility and insight into their SalesForce data," adds Ju Wu, vice president, Development, SAP. "With this combination, SalesForce users can obtain actionable business intelligence within their SalesForce systems very quickly."
