Kore Technologies recently helped its client, Follett simplify integration with RMB Solutions. Follett has offered solutions for ice and refrigeration that promote health, safety, and well being since the 1940s.
The company designs and manufactures high-quality, innovative ice storage bins, ice storage and transport systems, ice machines, ice and water dispensers, ice and beverage dispensers, and medical-grade refrigerators and freezers for the food service and healthcare industries.
Follett’s technical service department focuses on support and servicing. While the company used a home-grown application that did a good job of tracking calls and dispatching service agents, it did not interface with the back-end ERP system. Replacement part orders, RMAs and service agent invoices were all entered manually.
Because of that issue, it was difficult to determine the cost of service engagements and track invoices from service providers.
Follett needed to integrate its Epicor Avanté ERP system (based on the UniData MultiValue database) to a third-party cloud-based service management product called RMB Solutions. Follett selected Kore’s Kourier REST solution for this project.
With Kourier REST, Follett can call REST endpoints from RMB Solutions and similar services to integrate with Avanté.
