MV Databases Chosen as Best of the Pack in DBTA Readers' Choice Awards

Several MultiValue databases have been chosen as the best of the pack for this year’s Database Trends and Applications Readers' Choice Awards.

Each year, Database Trends and Applications magazine presents the Readers’ Choice Awards, recognizing leading vendors across a variety of segments in the IT industry. Unlike any other awards programs conducted by DBTA, this one is special because the nominees are submitted and the winners are chosen by the experts—whose opinions carry more weight than all others—you, the readers.

MultiValue database technology continues to boost a strong following of loyal supporters. This NoSQL database technology is found in many industry verticals, including retail, travel industry, oil & gas, healthcare, government, banking, and education.

MultiValue software vendors are addressing emerging challenges and opportunities that are affecting the IT landscape by adding features such as support for 64-bit computing, RESTful services, and new languages, enhanced replication for HA/DR, cloud enablement, mobile access, and integration with other enterprise systems, including relational and other NoSQL database management systems.

This year, three MultiValue database products were chosen as the best of the pack - Revelation OpenInsight 10, Rocket D3, and Rocket UniVerse.

Released earlier this year, OpenInsight 10 boasts a variety of upgrades including new IDE, 64-bit capabilities, security enhancements for GDPR requirements, improved git integration, and more.

“For most of Revelation’s history the OpenInsight releases have been evolutionary, this one is revolutionary,” said Mike Ruane, president and CEO Revelation Software. “We have a brand new look and feel from the developers’ point of view.”

Rocket D3 and mvBase solutions are powerful development environments designed for business-critical transactional and analytical database applications.

They combine scalable, flexible, seamless interoperability with connectivity and low overhead for system management and administration.

Rocket UniVerse tools provide intuitive database design and high performance data access, combining NoSQL data access, storage, and management capabilities across Microsoft Windows, Linux, and UNIX platforms.
