Free trials of most products are available from the catalog - so users can test Melissa Data's tools to see how they can provide immediate cost savings and ROI to any size company's data collection, data management, and marketing operations.

"Melissa Data is one of very few vendors in this marketplace that are still independent," Brown observes. "It is a testament to the types of services we have been able to provide for decades now."

Data quality is a critical component in data integration and master data management efforts, notes Brown. "Ultimately, the value of having good data quality process in place is to save money." Products featured in the catalog, he notes, "run the gamut from toolkits that developers can use to integrate phone verification, address verification or enrichment types of routines into their custom applications, but we also have a lot of services and products for mailers and direct marketers and database managers as well."

Along with the new catalog, Brown says, Melissa is also offering a Data Quality Challenge, in which it will take a sample of data from an organization's database and do analysis on it so that the organization can get an idea of how its data collection and data maintenance processes measure up.
