Open-E, a data storage provider, announced that its Open-E Data Storage Software Version 7 (DSS V7) has achieved “VMware Ready” status. This means that after a detailed validation process, DSS V7 has achieved VMware’s “highest level of endorsement,” the vendor says, and is available through the VMware Solution Exchange.
The certification opens up new storage options within VMWare environments, says Krzysztof Franek, CEO and president of Open-E. He says DSS V7's Active-Active iSCSI Failover capability in particular now plays a role in “achieving business continuity and high availability in a virtualized storage environment.”
The VMware Ready program is a co-branding benefit of the Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program that helps IT managers identify partner products certified to work with VMware cloud infrastructure.
Open-E DSS V7 can be found within the online VMware Solution Exchange (VSX) at https://solutionexchange.vmware.com/store/products/open-e-dss-v7-data-storage-software.
