Oracle BI Applications Now Provide Insight into More Sources

Oracle has introduced Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Applications 11.1.1.8.1 which includes prebuilt connectors between Oracle Procurement and Spend Analytics and Oracle’s JD Edwards. Additionally, a new Oracle Human Resources Analytics module for developing and maintaining a skilled workforce has been introduced.

Oracle BI Applications allow customers to tap directly into their enterprise applications to uncover insights about their employees, business and products, a capability, which, according to Oracle, fits into a larger BI software trend in which analytics is increasingly moving from standalone tools to becoming ubiquitous – and intrinsic other applications and infrastructures.

In use at more than 4,000 companies worldwide, Oracle BI Applications support enterprise applications, including Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle’s PeopleSoft, Oracle's Siebel CRM, and Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.  Built on Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite, Oracle BI Applications enable organizations to extend their BI footprint or build custom BI applications to meet specific analytics needs for line-of-business managers and executives, and are also certified to run on Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine, supporting low-risk implementation and strong business value through performance at a massive scale.

“Oracle BI Applications provide a critical platform for unlocking and analyzing enterprise-level and business-level insights, with the latest updates reducing the time and complexity to achieve a competitive advantage through data,” said Paul Rodwick, vice president of product management, Oracle.

Additional Prebuilt Connectors

The latest release of Oracle BI Applications introduces a new adapter that provides out-of-box integration between Oracle Procurement and Spend Analytics and Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, enabling purchasing and sourcing organizations to more quickly identify savings opportunities and improve operational performance. Customers relying on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne can benefit from increased visibility into corporate spend as well as the complete procure-to-pay process, with analyses of procurement performance, supplier performance, supplier payable trends and employee expenses.

New Talent Profile Analytics Module

Introducing Oracle Talent Profile Analytics, a new module of Oracle Human Resources Analytics, Oracle BI Applications helps HR and business managers assess talent strengths and build potential leaders by delivering greater insight into job profiles, employee skills and competency levels. The module provides key performance metrics and advanced data visualization capabilities which deliver insights to help HR and managers align their organizations’ talent management needs and strategies with business goals.

Oracle Talent Profile Analytics also has pre-built connectors with Oracle’s PeopleSoft to enable faster deployment.
