Oracle has released Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) 19.33, introducing automated database upgrades, expanded version support, and performance and availability enhancements.
The release automates upgrades from Oracle Database 19c to Oracle AI Database 26ai within a DB System, reducing manual administration. Customers can also run 19c and 26ai databases together in one DB System, accommodating different application requirements and upgrade schedules, according to Oracle.
For virtualized workloads, Oracle reports up to 4.4 times higher IOPS, bringing performance closer to bare-metal deployments. The release also supports rolling CPU core reconfiguration on high-availability systems, keeping at least one RAC instance running during the process.
Additional enhancements include pluggable database life cycle management through ODACLI, improved storage space management, and rollback options for failed Grid Infrastructure updates.
ODA 19.33 is available now and includes the October 2026 Release Updates for Oracle Database 19c and Oracle AI Database 26ai.
