Oracle Plans to Extend Multicloud AI Database Services to Government Workloads

Oracle is announcing plans to pursue FedRAMP Class D certification, formerly FedRAMP High, for Oracle AI Database@AWS, Oracle AI Database@Azure, and Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud.

The planned certification would enable U.S. government and public sector organizations with FedRAMP requirements to run regulated Oracle AI Database workloads on Exadata infrastructure within supported cloud environments, according to Oracle.

The initiative covers Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure in AWS GovCloud (US), Microsoft Azure Government, and Google Cloud Assured Workloads.

For agencies operating across multiple cloud providers, the planned expansion would provide additional deployment options for Oracle Database workloads subject to federal security requirements.

Oracle announced the initiative at Oracle AI World. Certification is planned and has not been announced as completed.
