PASS to Present ‘People’s Choice’ SQL Server Speakers at PASS Summit 2009 Spotlight Sessions

At the PASS Summit 2009 conference in Seattle, Wash., Nov. 2-5, 2009, the Professional Association for SQL Server will present by-invitation-only Spotlight sessions highlighting top presenters who have received high speaker ratings at past PASS Summits. Spotlight sessions are 90 minutes long, providing speakers with the opportunity to delve more deeply into their technical topics.

"Spotlight sessions give speakers more time to go under the covers and delve into intricacies and edge cases," notes SQL Server MVP Adam Machanic, whose session will explore using SQL Server 2008 extended events for performance profiling and troubleshooting. "Attendees will walk away from these sessions with a more complete picture of the subject area and the ability to really hit the ground running when applying the techniques to real-world projects."

The PASS Summit 2009 Spotlight sessions are spread across the conference's four technical tracks: Application and Database Development; BI Architecture, Development, and Administration; BI Client Reporting and Delivery; and Enterprise Database Administration and Deployment.

PASS Summit 2009 will also feature a record 168 regular technical sessions and 14 pre/post-conference seminars, many presented by Spotlight speakers; direct access to more than 200 Microsoft engineers, experts, and Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs) in the "Ask the Experts" Lounge and at the CSS First Aid Station; opportunities to connect with thousands of MVPs, peers, and industry experts; as well as top SQL Server and Business Intelligence tools and services, giving attendees access to hands-on demos and information.

Attendees who register for PASS Summit 2009 by Sept. 15 can take advantage of the advance rate. There is also a special per-person rate for organizations that register a group of 5 or more by Sept. 15. To learn more, visit the PASS Summit website.
