Perforce Software, the DevOps company for global teams seeking AI innovation at scale, announced the public availability of JRebel Enterprise, a new software that is automatically configured to support changing development environments at enterprise scale.
JRebel Enterprise enables Java development teams with complex or frequently changing development environments to eliminate both redeploys (the time it takes to make a change in Java code and see that change reflected in the resulting environment), and frequent developer-level reconfiguration for cloud environments brought on by dynamic Java development environments. That increased efficiency equates to accelerated time to market, according to the company.
"DevOps environments are maturing at a rapid pace due to the onset of rapidly evolving business needs, adding significant complexity to development and testing environments," said Jeff Michael, senior director of product management at Perforce Software. "JRebel Enterprise manages those complexities for your developers—allowing them to seamlessly push code changes to remote environments without the need for lengthy rebuilds and redeploys."
JRebel Enterprise features include:
- Accelerated cloud configuration from 3-5 minutes per server, per developer to a one-time, 1-2 minute configuration for an entire Java development team
- Automatic detection and configuration of JRebel agents running on JVMs
- Support for Java 21 and newer versions
- Integrates with IntelliJ IDEA
- Support of all popular cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
With JRebel Enterprise, new environments configure themselves. Agents automatically register with the JRebel broker module at startup—no manual host or port setup required.
When a new environment spins up, the broker module instantly detects and configures it, all without intervention. After a simple one-time Broker setup in your IDE, every JRebel agent is handled automatically, eliminating tedious reconfigurations and keeping your development flow uninterrupted, the company said.
