Pure Storage Emphasizes Intuitive, Rapid Self-Service and Automation in Latest Update

Pure Storage, the IT pioneer that delivers the world's most advanced data storage technologies and services, is debuting new self-service capabilities that propel the company on its strategic shift towards delivering modern, autonomous Storage-as-a-Service (StaaS) and SaaS experiences. With these latest capabilities applying across the Pure1 storage management platform and the Evergreen portfolio, Pure Storage continues to eradicate arduous IT operations, streamline data protection, ease invoice management and ESG reporting, and improve partner intelligence.

The first enhancements from Pure Storage revolve around self-service autonomous upgrades, offering improvements to ActiveCluster. Now, customers benefit from rapid Autonomous Upgrades that eliminate the time-consuming effort required of upgrading Purity operating environments.

Simplified data resilience is another focal point for Pure Storage’s latest capabilities, featuring Streamlined Ransomware Anomaly Detection and Automated Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service. Streamlined Ransomware Anomaly Detection allows Pure1’s AIOps to recommend snapshots that allow customers to restore their affected data, whether local or remote. The latter feature, Automated Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service, brings DRaaS 1.1 to Pure1, delivering disaster recovery for data centers in 15 minutes or less.

Pure Storage is now also offering Partner Intelligence/Performance Tracking in beta, empowering Pure Storage Partners with a layer of granularity involving both performance and user experience. On the topic of transparency, the new Simplified Invoice Management sheds light on Evergreen subscriptions, centralizing them in a single view. This not only increases traceability for customer charges, it ultimately improves overall partner-customer relationships through increased subscription visibility.

Finally, Pure Storage is delivering customizable C-Suite ESG reports that summarizes details about a customer’s data center and fleet, offering guidelines for sustainability improvement.

"Pure Storage's strategic shift towards a self-service experience marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of enterprise storage solutions,” said Steve McDowell, chief analyst and CEO, NAND Research. “By prioritizing Storage as-a-Service and enhancing self-service capabilities, Pure is not just adapting to industry trends but setting a new standard for customer empowerment. This move is a testament to their commitment to efficiency, flexibility, and providing customers with a seamless experience in managing their storage needs."
