Quest Oracle Community and the IOUG Finalize Integration Agreement

Quest Oracle Community and the Independent Oracle Users Group have signed a definitive agreement finalizing the IOUG’s integration into the Quest community.

With the agreement in place, there is now new branding for the IOUG which is now the “Quest IOUG Database & Technology Community.”

The newly expanded Quest community plans to offer enhanced benefits for members and their organizations across four product areas. The integration reflects Quest’s continued strategic growth. Quest has made recent investments in scalable digital infrastructure and diversified programming. As a result, it will seamlessly integrate the IOUG into its existing community of Oracle Cloud Applications, JD Edwards, and PeopleSoft users.

“The new Quest IOUG Database & Technology Community brings enormous learning and networking opportunities for our members and their respective companies,” said Ray Smith, IOUG’s former president and now Quest Advisory Board member. “Our teams have been working together for several months. We look forward to continuing this collaborative relationship as IOUG members are on-boarded into the new community.”

“Quest’s recent digital investments allow for a seamless, scalable transition. We look forward to welcoming IOUG members to Quest,” said Jon Vaughn, Quest CEO. “As the challenge of developing and supporting individual user groups grows, Quest is well-equipped to welcome new groups in a way that allows each to maintain its unique identity and sense of community while protecting the valuable knowledge resources embodied by these organizations.”

“We are thrilled to welcome IOUG’s membership to Quest,” said Paul Brand, chairman of the board, Quest Oracle Community, adding, “We look forward to integrating IOUG members into the Quest community with an unparalleled member experience and best-in-class digital destination.”

The agreement is effective immediately, and the full integration of the communities will take place over several months.

Quest offers advanced digital learning and networking, hosts three major conferences—COLLABORATEINFOCUS, and RECONNECT—and presents webinars year-round.
