Reinforcing Data Management for Modern Apps with Reltio, Perforce Delphix, and Quest

Modern applications demand data systems that are always performing in real-time and built to scale. From microservices to AI-driven use cases, success depends on how quickly and reliably data can be delivered across environments.

However, many teams are still working with database and data management approaches that weren't designed for this level of speed or complexity. The result is slow data provisioning, development bottlenecks, and challenges maintaining consistency across environments.

DBTA held a roundtable webinar, Data Management for Modern Apps: Built for Speed and Scale, with experts who explored how organizations are modernizing data platforms and architecture to better support application development.

The focus is on faster access to trusted data, improved coordination across teams, and systems that can scale with demand.

According to Brian Galura, principal product manager at Reltio, siloed data is the kryptonite of AI strategies. Poor data quality erodes trust. Data debt increases with aging technology and agentic apps. And complex landscapes increase operational friction.

There are three steps to combating this, Galura said. This includes:

Assemble a unified view: Identify, unify, and relate key data entities across the organization.

Connect the signals: Link identities with interactions and signals. Build the graph.

Operationalize insights: Calculate insights, segment audiences, publish to agentic workflows and operational systems.

AI-powered innovation is showing the industry’s TDM gaps, said Nick Mathison, senior product manager at Perforce Delphix. What’s needed is a central data platform that can govern sensitive data across every AI and non-production workflow.

Delphix’s mission is to provide multi-cloud test data management, Mathison noted. Delphix provides consistent workflows and governance for compliant test data on any infrastructure.

Ryan Crochet, data solutions strategist at Quest posited, before scaling an AI use case or sending an app to production, ask yourself: Can we see it? Is it consistent everywhere and available in real time? Is it tuned for the load?
